Hard-Enamel Pin on Backing Card

Description

Any subject remade as a hard-enamel lapel pin: the drawing reduced to flat colour wells held apart by raised, polished gold metal lines, ground level so the whole face is one plane, then photographed still stapled to its printed backing card. The metal does the drawing, so the subject has to survive being simplified to a handful of closed shapes. It suits mascots, merch mockups, badges and anything that should read as a small collectable object.

Custom Style Items

Hard-Enamel Face
Grind enamel and raised metal walls perfectly flush into one continuous flat face; never recess color below the metal.
Metal Highlight Logic
One long unbroken softbox highlight follows each polished metal border; enamel carries a soft rectangular window reflection.
Die-Struck Simplification
Reduce subjects to bold closed shapes readable at 25–40 mm; remove details too fine for a die-struck wall.
Backing Card Staging
Pin remains attached and stands 1–2 mm proud of an uncoated printed card, with small wordmark or edition pushed to an edge.

Guardrails

Common Artifacts to Avoid
AI Gloss / Plastic Smoothing, Heavy Bokeh / Blur, Lens Flare, Film Grain / Noise, HDR over-processing, Over-saturation, Stylistic filters
Avoided Visuals
soft-enamel ridging; bumpy recessed wells; vinyl figurines; sculpted bodies; mosaic tesserae; visible grout; holographic plating; rainbow plating; glitter enamel; dangling charms; fine hairlines; open-ended strokes
Avoided Colors
holographic rainbow finishes
Allowed Visuals
flat closed enamel cells; continuous polished gold borders; bold simplified silhouette; flush enamel face; printed backing card; visible or implied posts and clutches; white studio background
Conditional Logic
Use gold plating by default; use black nickel or antique brass only as deliberate darker metal variants. Keep every enamel color field enclosed by a uniform metal wall.
